Finally, the 2nd Salaya International Documentary Film Festival announced the award result for the Best ASEAN Documentary Film Festival.
The juries are consisted of Prawich Taeng-aksorn (the film critic), Pimpaka Towira (the film director) and Zhang Wenjie (National Singapore Museum).
The Best ASEAN Documentary is HARD RAILS ACROSS A GENTLE RIVER from Vietnam directed by Tran Thanh Hien, Pham Thu Hang, Do Van Hoang, andTran Thi Phuong
Prawich Taeng-aksorn gives the citation to the film:
“HARD RAILS ACROSS A GENTLE RIVER cleverly makes use of the location which are the bridge, the river and its surroundings to portray the many aspects of people’s everyday life in a big city of Hanoi especially the hardship, the hope and the struggle. Also the way it tells the story is engaging, captivating, emotional and heartfelt.”
