The alternative approach to making movies outside Hollywood
Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam and Japan UNIJAPAN, in collaboration with the University of Theatre and Film University of Hanoi and Film Theatre and Ho Chi Minh City, proudly presents a short-term project on “Movies and Music music / sound effects “of talented young Japanese film director in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from 17 to 21/12/2012.
The blockbuster with huge budgets are mainly produced in the Hollywood studios and other film-makers around the world it seems reckless to compete with them in this way.
While some film producer and film director dreams of working with Hollywood-style or class to Hollywood, the other creators the ability to study alternative ways to make the film.
He Tetsuaki Matsue is an example when he made the documentary “Live Tape” (tape life) miraculously to 74 minutes duration and ultra-low budget, and have won the Best Picture Award in the ” Japan eyes “at the Tokyo International Film Festival 22 th in 2009.
He Satoru Hirohara, a new master’s students graduated from the University of Fine Arts and the Tokyo National music, movies as well as “Good Morning to the World!” (Hello World!) With less budget and cast unknown, and the Tigers won the Dragon Award for Young Cinema at the Vancouver International Film Festival, the 29th in 2010.
The two winning films will be screened with Vietnamese subtitles as an example for the replacement effort, after the screening will be a discussion with the director of two films. Besides film program, directed Tetsuaki Matsue will share his thoughts on this subject last lecture “Movies and Music”. He Satoru Hirohara, by contrast, will talk about the film programs at universities in Japan, and he Takaaki Yamamoto (recording engineer / studio engineer) to dialogue with him on the board. Two presentations and discussions will be conducted in Japanese, Vietnamese interpreters.
An attractive part of this project is the workshop of “sound effects” with him Masaya Kitada, an engineer in the sound effects and noises talented artists in Japan today. He will present to students and young filmmakers Vietnam on his particular job, showing you how to use word processing software Digital (the studio) Pro Tools for sound effects.
