A photographer or filmmaker with a personal website or online portfolio.
At least one previous public exhibition or screening of a substantial body of work.
Good command of English.
Independent and highly motivated.
Basic accommodation, food, local transport and phone (transport to and from Chiang Mai is not yet supported).
Publication in DAA’s magazine, Nama.
A solo exhibition of the work produced at the Chiang Mai Documentary Arts Festival.
Produce and exhibit a substantial body of work from your time as an Artist in Residence.
Provide DAA with one set of prints/video file.
Teach at least two workshops at the DAA Center Chiang Mai, and provide at least two portfolio review sessions.
Assist with DAA activities once a week (days/times flexible to accommodate your project).

A CV and brief personal biography plus links to up to three galleries of completed projects.
A one page proposal for the project you plan to complete during your residency.
A one page proposal for the workshops you’d like to teach during your residency.
Note : Projects outside of the city are possible, however the artist should have a presence in Chiang Mai during their residency.
Applications are currently open and will close October 1st 2012.
The selected artist will be notified by October 10th and the program must begin in November or December, depending on the wish of the artist.
